How to accept a parcel from the courier
Statistics of delivery problems:
ProduceShop (98.7% Perfect Deliveries – 1.3% Deliveries with defect)
International average (92.4% Perfect deliveries – 7.6% Deliveries with defect)
Each package must be accepted with a specific reserve to ensure that you are covered in case of damage not visible or apparent due to the transport of the goods.
Why should you accept your parcel with a specific reserve, such as “damaged goods”?
Accepting a package with a reserve allows you to check the contents of the package later, since the law forbids the carrier to open the package before you have signed for it. N.B.: if you accept without reserve, you will sign a document certifying that the parcel has arrived in perfect condition, which means that the customer cannot count on the company or the courier to take care of his claim.
